These terms are an agreement between you and Nessa ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Nessa app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Nessa.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Nessa is intended for use by educators and school staff for classroom record-keeping. It is not for use by children.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Don't share your account. Tell us at hello@nessaglobal.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Use Nessa only for its intended purpose — supporting Montessori teaching. You agree not to:
You own the content you create in Nessa — observations, notes, student profiles, and photos. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you (for example, syncing it across your devices and powering AI features as described in our Privacy Policy).
You represent and warrant that you are authorized to record this information. When you enter a child's name, observations, or photo, you confirm that you have the necessary authority and consent — under your school's policies and applicable laws such as FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR — to do so. Your school, as the controller of student records, is responsible for obtaining any required parental consent. You agree not to enter student data you are not permitted to record.

Nessa uses AI to help draft lessons, summaries, newsletters, and other content, and to transcribe and read your notes. AI-generated content is a starting point and must be reviewed by you before you rely on it or share it. AI can be inaccurate or incomplete, and we do not guarantee that AI-generated content — including Montessori lesson content — is accurate, complete, or appropriate for your classroom. You remain the professional responsible for what you teach and what you communicate to families.
Nessa is free to start. We may offer optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. If we do, the price and what's included will be shown before you purchase, and any subscription will be billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms (including their refund and cancellation policies). We may change pricing or the contents of free and paid tiers with reasonable notice.
We work to keep Nessa reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes. We may also update these terms; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Nessa is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nessa and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.
You can stop using Nessa and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Nessa will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
